Steelers Narrowly Defeat Green Bay Packers 23-19

The Pittsburgh Steelers picked up their second straight win with a 23-19 victory over the visiting Green Bay Packers. The win moved the team to 6-3 on the season, and keeps them firmly in the playoff hunt.

On the offensive side of the ball, it was the run game that carried the Steelers all afternoon. The team’s ground game put up 205 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Running backs Jaylen Warren and Najee Harris were responsible for the bulk of that, as each scored a touchdown and combined for 183 yards on the ground. Quarterback Kenny Pickett took care of the football, but overall it wasn’t a memorable performance as he threw for just 126 yards and no touchdowns.

The Steelers defense also stepped up in a big way when it mattered most. After struggling to contain Packers quarterback Jordan Love for the first three quarters of the game, the Steelers came up with interceptions on back-to-back drives late in the fourth quarter that sealed the win for the team.

The Steelers will make a short trip for a game against division rival, the 6-3 Cleveland Browns on Sunday, November 19th.
