Steelers Lose Should Win Game Against Arizona Cardinals

Facing one of the league’s worst teams in the Arizona Cardinals, the Steelers unexpectedly fell 24-10. The loss makes their path to the playoffs all the more challenging, particularly in the crowded AFC North.

The Steelers were never really in the game Sunday, and aside from an early 3-0 first quarter lead, it was all Cardinals all the time. And with just over eight minutes left in the fourth quarter, the Cardinals led 24-3, an insurmountable lead at that point in the game.

To make matters worse, the Steelers lost quarterback Kenny Pickett to an injury during the contest. Though in his absence backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky threw the team’s lone touchdown – a two yard pass to Diontae Johnson in the late fourth quarter.

The loss drops the team back to 7-5 and with just five games remaining, they’ll need to right the ship quickly to try and make the playoffs. They’ll next welcome the slumping New England Patriots to Acrisure Stadium for a must-win Thursday Night Football game.
