According to a county press release,
Notice is hereby given that testing of election equipment to be used for the 2022 General Primary Election, as previously scheduled for Wednesday, April 20, 2022, is temporarily postponed due to discrepancies noted.
Election Board Chairwoman, Mary Rennie: “Testing election equipment prior to all elections is a standard practice to ascertain that machines will accurately count votes cast for all offices. Maintaining the integrity of our election process is the primary focus of this Board and all of the Voter Registration & Elections staff.”
Notice will be duly advertised for the rescheduled date once determined.
The Erie County General Primary Election will be held on May 17, 2022.
